This show invites you to meet someone in search of something different—a person who is finding themselves, taking risks, and trying to surprise. Driven by a deep desire to unsettle, they offer an experience where emotions blend, collide, and resonate. Through this approach, they share their questions, their impulses, and their contradictions. Perhaps, deep down, they are simply seeking to share with you an extraordinary moment—one that is atypical, rare, and unusual.
La Bagatelle du Roi des Miettes is a true multidisciplinary melting pot. Circus serves as the starting point, but very quickly, the boundaries blur: dance, skateboarding, theater, object manipulation, and acrobatics intertwine with boldness and lightness, like a “funfettis” cake bursting with colors and surprises.
A sensitive, vibrant, and resolutely unique show—to be experienced to the fullest.
About
La Croustade
La Croustade has been active in the performing arts and the creation of multidisciplinary works since 2020. The two co-founders aim to push the boundaries of circus; to use the language of circus to create a unique artistic experience.
While staying true to their pure circus roots, they aim to create works that seamlessly blend and navigate between contemporary/urban dance, physical theater, clowning, and all other forms of art.
Eline Guélat & Vincent Jutras strive to ground their creations in the human experience in its simplest form. It is very important to them that the artist shines as much through their inner beauty as through their pathos.
La Croustade explores themes such as playfulness, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, death, pleasure, love, friendship, games, human folly, innocence, and the subconscious, as well as relationships; but also physical concepts such as the elasticity of the body, falls, gravity, tension, relaxation, pauses in time, and many others.
