Exquisite, uncanny physical performer in a silent show about a magician and his rabbit. Next level miming - Neil Patrick Harris

Ranked among the highest-rated comedy shows at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Silly Little Things is a hilarious, moving, and physically masterful performance by mime artist Trygve Wakenshaw.

Blending mime, clowning, and physical comedy, the show explores with lightheartedness and absurdity those little everyday things capable of making or breaking a friendship. In a world that is both burlesque and introspective, Trygve transforms the simplest ideas into totally unpredictable scenes, driven by a boundless imagination.

Subversive and poetic, Silly Little Things is an experimental playground where wonder, humor, and magic come to life. An ode to friendship and fantasy, created by one of the leading figures in contemporary mime, whose shows have achieved international success and sell out at festivals around the world.

About

Trygve

Trygve (pronounced Trig-vee) is an award-winning performer.

Trygve grew up in Hastings, New Zealand as the eldest of four children. He is the only one in the family to display a passion for theatricality. Trygve went to Paris to study with Philippe Gaulier and had a wonderful time living in France (though shamefully his mastery of the French language is still poor to non-existent).

After his aquatic-themed trilogy of solo shows (SQUIDBOY, KRAKEN and NAUTILUS), Trygve joined forces first with his best friend Barnie again to create 'Different Party' - an office comedy - and then with his one year old son Phineas Wakenshaw in 'Trygve vs a Baby', aiming to answer a question that has plagued mankind since the dawn of time: what's more entertaining - a world famous mime, or a standard baby? His most recent show Silly Little Things garnered acclaim at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Trygve now lives in Prague, Czech Republic and travels the worldperforming.
