The highlight event of the summer. An international competition. The best artists. An uncompromising verdict.
Presented in collaboration with Montréal Complètement Cirque, Le Monastère offers a unique event in Montreal: the city’s largest circus competition.
The Last Judgment brings together, on a single stage, some of the best artists from around the world, each delivering their very best in an electrifying atmosphere. Here, it’s not just about performing. It’s about pushing limits, taking risks, making an impact, and facing both the audience and industry professionals.
Each act becomes a raw demonstration of talent, mastery, boldness, and presence. Le Monastère is transformed into a true circus arena, where the intensity of competition meets the energy of the festival. Adrenaline rises, feats follow one another, the audience holds its breath, thrills at every moment, and takes part in the final verdict.
Because at the Last Judgment, a panel of professionals awards prizes—but the audience also has a voice. This fusion of artistic excellence, competitive tension, and collective excitement creates a rare, spectacular, and deeply vibrant evening.
Artists from all over the world, a stage ready to welcome them, and an audience invited to judge, feel, and choose. The Last Judgment is a celebration of circus at its highest level—virtuosic, human, and exhilarating.
Doors open at 7:15 PM.
Show starts at 8:00 PM.
Founded in 2016 by Rosalie Beauchamp and Guillaume Blais, Le Monastère is a non-profit social economy organization that actively contributes to the popularization of the circus as well as to the influence of Montreal as the world capital of this art. For the founders, artists who have traveled the world with the greatest companies such as Cirque du Soleil and the great German cabarets, it is essential to offer new ways of appreciating this art to a public eager for cultural novelties. By privileging the cabaret form, Le Monastère allows spectators to discover, or rediscover, the most talented artists in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Inspired by European cabarets, the artistic vision of Le Monastère highlights Quebec-based talent. Located in Montreal's St. Jax Centre, a church inaugurated in 1864 on St. Catherine Street West, the organization offers the public the opportunity to live unique experiences.
