Les Deux de Pique (The Two of Spades):
[døtpik] n.m. 1. Appears in 52-card decks, is usually the weakest in the deck. 2. Refers to someone who is simple-minded, a bit foolish. Couple on stage as in life Tamara Bousquet and Philippe Trépanier, circus artists and creators for more than 15 years, work around the world on the stages and tracks of major companies. They have performed with Cirque du Soleil and Les 7 doigts de la Main, GOP variety theater and Palazzo. The characters and universe of La Famille GoldenCrust were created in 2020 to fulfill an essential service: spreading joy and good humor. The proposal initially took the form of a living tableau. In 2021, the GoldenCrust Family will take Quebec's festivals and municipalities by storm with its new outdoor show. The summer of 2022 promises to be rich in encounters as the team prepares for a tour of Canada and the United States with the English version of the show. Les Deux de Pique also created two original shows: Clip! featuring Philippe Trépanier in solo, and Trattoria in duo. These works were supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Conseil des arts de Montréal. Since everything is an excuse to have fun, they exploit each of their talents, even the most unusual ones. Their love for exaggeration and ridicule sets the tone for their creations, and they proudly call themselves Les Deux de Pique.
