★★★★★ A perfect combination of fluidity, mettle and danger

- Limelight Magazine

It’s the breathtaking acrobatics, unparalleled energy and irresistible charm that made this unique company famous. Following the great success of A Simple Space, performed at the 2014 Festival, the Australian troupe now presents Backbone.
With continuous movements, the young gravity-defying artists break the limits of the human body in a way unthinkable to ordinary people. The troupe draws its strength–both mental and physical–from the union of its members and joyfully transmits its unimaginable energy.
The very fluid choreography illustrate the intricate web of human relations, funny, moving, and always fascinating, all the while bringing its share of reactions.

A rocket!

ABOUT GRAVITY & OTHER MYTHS

Gravity & Other Myths, an ensemble group, has a performance-oriented approach for its creations. Drawing away from the traditional circus and theatre, the group promotes the fusion of an acrobatic type of physical theatre. Founded in 2009 in Adelaide, South Australia, the company established itself by offering a successful blend of raw strength, comedy, recklessness and creative feats with A Simple Space, presented at the 2014 Festival and in spring 2015 at TOHU.
Following in the footsteps of its precursor, Backbone, performed for the first time in spring 2017 in Adelaide, has already been honoured with many distinctions.

A genre-defying, thought-provoking, visual extravaganza
