CIRCUS AS A TOOL FOR SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION

Cirque Hors Piste is a Montreal-based organization dedicated to social circus, which provides an alternative and inclusive creative space for people with marginalized backgrounds. The organization promotes individual, social and collective learning through the circus arts.

Presented as part of the MONTREAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE festival, the Social Circus Carnival stands out for its social and artistic action. In addition to allowing Montreal circus artists to perform in their city, the event highlights young social circus participants. The public is invited to an evening under the sign of social inclusion where the great social circus parade will be presented on St-Denis Street.

CARNIVAL 2022 PROGRAMMING
From 5:30 to 11 p.m. on July 10, Place Pasteur will be the stage for the CARNAVAL DE CIRQUE SOCIAL.
The festival team is delighted to welcome this year's Carnaval de cirque social to our facilities on July 10. Come and discover the Carnaval de cirque social, an unforgettable event under the banner of social inclusion! This annual event brings together up-and-coming circus artists, as well as marginalized young people or those at risk of exclusion, who are actively involved in its organization. Enjoy a full evening of street circus performances, music and interactive activities, in a privileged atmosphere conducive to extraordinary encounters.

This year, under the theme "Our strangeness, unfiltered", diversity and originality will be more than ever in the spotlight. You're invited to plunge into a universe where anything is possible, where the only rule is to have fun and be yourself, without filters or barriers.
